Banana Slick Define & Hold Nourishing Styling Gel

"So, I've seen a few reviews out there about this gel about how it isnt really a strong hold. When I first used it, I agreed! No cast, soft finish, didnt last. But I was applying it like a usual gel. Apply on quite wet hair, run it through my hair with my fingers, scrunch, diffuse. . etc. This one - and I dont know if this will work for all, I slightly towel dried my hair, split my hair into sections and applied a SMALL scoop of the gel. It is THICK, so i rubbed my hands together and ran it through each section, finished off by brushing it through and then did a small scrunch. Once my hair was all done, I spritzed my hair with water, did a good scrunch, micoplopped and diffused. I got a cast and scrunched out the crunch! This lasts for about 3-4 days! Your milage may vary of course, all hair is different, but this worked for me"

Nice scent but not for me

"Sadly this gel is not for me. The smell is beautiful just like the rest of the Banana range. The gel proved to be way too thick for my hair, I couldn't coat the hair in it & it was too sticky to comb through. Might work on much thicker hair but I think you would need to add a lot of water to give it some slip. My curly daughter and sons all tried it too but they couldn't get away with it either."

Not sure. . .

"Not sure about this one. I wouldn't describe it as firm hold. It smells nice but doesn't really work on my hair, it tends to leave me with straight frizz rather then curls, and the tub is too big - I had to take 3 other products off the shelf to fit it on."
