What is a colour mask?
A dual benefit mask adding temporary colour AND all the nourishing benefits of a deep conditioning treatment. Created with natural ingredients to moisturise, smooth and add amazing colour.
How long does the colour last?
Flowerology Temporary Colour Mask adds temporary colour that fades out in 2-10 washes. The lighter your hair is the more vibrant and long-lasting the colour is. Individual results will vary and depend on the starting condition and how frequently you wash your hair. Pink Delight and Forget-me-not are the most vibrant colours and may last longer.
Does it cover grey?
No, the Flowerology Temporary Colour Masks won't cover grey.
Can I apply the temporary colour mask to highlights/balayage?
Yes, the Temporary Colour mask will add colour to the highlighted parts of your hair but only on light blonde to medium blonde highlights/balayage. The colour will not take to the darker shades in your hair.
Will the temporary colour damage my hair?
Flowerology Temporary Colour Masks don’t contain any bleach or ammonia in the formula, it’s a lot safer to use than permanent dyes, even with permed or previously dyed hair. Our 97% natural formula contains nourishing ingredients including Coconut Oil and Chamomile Flower Oil to moisturise and smooth hair, harnessing a shiny and naturally radiant finish.
Is the colour result impacted by how long I leave the mask on for?
Yes, you can adjust the time you leave the mask on for to achieve desired colour vibrancy. For a pastel look, leave the Temporary Colour Mask in for 15-20 minutes. For a more vibrant look, leave in for 20-30 minutes. For the boldest look, leave in for up to an hour. Rinse a strand to check the colour before final rinsing until water runs clear.
Why do the shades only work on light blonde to medium blonde hair?
Temporary Colour Masks only deposit color on the surface of the hair. They don't do anything to change the underlying color. Applying certain shades to dark hair won't show up unless you lighten the surface to which you're applying the colour.
Will the colour stain my scalp/hands?
No. However, minimal staining may occur and can be easily removed by shampooing. To prevent any staining, wear gloves.
Will my hair go back to its original color?
Yes, the pigments are temporary and deposited only on the outermost layer of the hair. With regular washing, the pigments will eventually fade out over time.
How do I apply the mask?
Apply to clean dry hair. Start by applying from your roots and massaging into the lengths of your hair. Keep adding mask until hair is saturated. Rinse a strand to check the colour before final rinsing until water runs clear. Tip: Always do a strand test before use. Wear gloves to prevent staining hands. Use a towel to protect clothing.
Will these masks stain my bath/shower?
No, these masks will not stain your shower or bath. If you notice a trace of colour left behind, this can be easily washed away with normal shower cleaning products.
How do I apply the mask evenly to my hair?
Start by applying from your roots and massaging into the lengths of your hair until hair is saturated. Tip: Try combing the product into your hair after application to achieve the most even coverage.
How many applications are in a tube?
Roughly 4-5 applications for short/fine hair and 1-2 applications for thick/long hair.
Can I use the colour mask whilst pregnant?
We recommend you consult your GP Before using our Temporary Colour Masks.
